Crump's Landing - All Tiki Bars Aren't on the Coast of Florida

Several months ago, we were doing some research on the Hernando County day trip featured here, we were standing across the river from Crump’s Landing and saw a raging fire destroying the sprawling tiki bar.
The fire seemed to burn out of control before the local fire depart got its equipment in place to douse what was left of Crump’s Landing.
Perhaps the fastest rebuild of a facility this size took place in a matter of a few months. Our curiosity led us to check out Crump’s Landing on Homosassa River.
Crump’s Landing Great for Entertainment
Today Crump’s is once again treating guests to a tiki bar experience on several waterside levels and a couple of stages for regular entertainment.
Crump’s has their own gift store, huge parking lot and multiple indoor and outdoor seating choices. Boaters love to visit for lunch or dinner while cruising the river.

You don’t commonly see tiki bars on a river, but Crump’s makes a perfect exception. Their kitchen offers a wide range of typical bar food, but done better than many in the area.
You can visit Crump’s by heading to Homosassa, Florida, and following the river to their remote location at 11210 W. Halls River Road, Homosassa, FL 34448. That is off US19. It is not easy to find but worth the trip. Just across the river is McCrae’s, a well-known fishing lodge, and the Monkey Bar, an attraction in the area.
The Crump’s Landing complex is just five miles south of Crystal River, Florida known as the manatee capital of the world.
