Key Lime Pie

  • 5 ea egg yokes
  • 1 1/4 cup lime juice (Nellie & Joe's preferred)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 ea prepared grahm cracker crust
  1. Whisk or beat the egg yokes until pale yellow and almost double in size in a medium bowl.

  2. Add the balance of ingredients and mix well.

  3. Pour into the pie shell and bake for 20 minutes in a 350 degree oven.

  4. Chill for at least 2 hours until set.

This recipe uses 2 tablespoons of sour cream to take the sharp edge off the lime juice. The result is very mellow smooth pie. Recipe courtesy of Maggie Mae’s Waterfront, Clearwater Beach, Florida
