Panama City Beach is located on the northwest coast of Florida, along the Gulf of Mexico. It is situated in Bay County, approximately 98 miles southwest of Tallahassee, the state capital. 

Panama City Beach is 350 miles northwest of Orlando, 90 miles east of Pensacola, 270 miles west of Jacksonville and 300 miles south of Atlanta, Georgia.

The city is easily accessible via several major highways, including U.S. Route 98 (the east/west route) and State Road 79 (the north route). 

Panama City Beach is one of the major vacation destinations along the northern Gulf of Mexico.

However, there is State Route 30 (Front Beach Road) that travels through the business district and waterfront. Beach accesses are along this street.

The main northern access to Panama City Beach is State Router 79 which most people use from Interstate Route 10. Interstate Route 10 travels all across Florida from Jacksonville to Pensacola.
