The Snook Inn – Marco Island, Florida

The Snook Inn - Marco Island Florida

In September 2022, Hurricane Ian destroyed much of the Snook Inn.

We are pleased to announce that Shook Inn re-opened in October 2023! Our most recent visit was April 2024 and the Snook Inn Marco Island is bigger and better than ever!

Florida is blessed with tiki bars from the panhandle to Key West, there are hundreds. However, some tiki bars stand out enough to make our list of the best tiki bars in Florida.  such as the Snook Inn on Marco Island, Florida. The Snook Inn Marco Island is a tiki bar on steroids!

This is no little hut in the center of a dock. The Snook Inn may seat 200 people under the obligatory grass covered roof. The bar and surrounding tables are along an inlet to the island and span almost the size of a hockey rink. The stage at the west end features daily entertainment in mid-afternoon through the evening.

The Snook Inn Marco Island food is good too!

Don’t be fooled by the laid back surroundings, the Snook Inn serves pretty decent food too! The menu includes many standard offerings focused on seafood along with some unique creations of the chef. A couple of our favorites are the stuffed oysters and the blackened mahi tacos.

The best way to get to the Snook Inn on Marco Island is by boat, but there is a normal parking lot if you insist on your automobile. There are dozens of docks and spaces to park everything from a jet ski to a yacht. Islanders pull up for great food and entertainment with boatloads of people. The Snook Inn seems to stay busy year-round despite losing half the island population in the summertime. Our visits have been in season and in the midst of summer.

Luxury Hotels Abound on Marco Island

Marco Island is one of Florida’s top destinations for resort-style vacations with numerous exclusive hotels offering luxurious accommodations. Many hotels have exceptionally deep beach fronts. One of our favorites is the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort.

Marco Island is about 20 minutes southeast of Naples, Florida on the edge of the Everglades to the east and the ten thousand island region to the south.

Fishing is exceptional around Marco along with just about every other water sport man has created.

Marco Island is a perfect place to relax and visit the Snook Inn for entertainment, food and fun!
