FLORA-BAMA LOUNGE PACKAGE AND OYSTER BAR – PENSACOLA, FLORIDA (and ALABAMA!) Biggest Dive Bar Ever!
We were trying to find a reason NOT to include this restaurant/oyster bar/beach bar/tiki hut/dive bar in this travel blog. Flora-Bama is certainly the largest bar we will cover, one of the most famous, one of the most ingenious operations and just a lot of fun!
However, what is it the “best” of? Then it dawned on me that maybe it is the best of the biggest and most famous “dive” bars in Florida!

Flora-Bama is loved by the likes of Kenney Chesney, Kid Rock, Jason Aldean, Jimmy Buffet and celebrities like Kenny Stabler, Peyton Manning, John Grisham and many more. Accolades have come from magazines including Playboy, Men’s Journal, Delta Sky and Maxim.
Quality entertainment abounds on any one of the five stages sprinkled through the buildings.
Famous for the Bushwhacker cocktail, Flora-Bama has some of the best entertainment in either Alabama or Florida!
All the best local bands play daily and headliners come in weekly. Even in the slow season, Flora-bama has three or four levels any given day with a half dozen bands playing.
Special events include Flora-b
Bama’s Annual Mullet Toss that draws thousands of people the last weekend of April – it’s fun and supports several charities.
Hurricanes Forces Several Rebuilds at Flora-Bama

Flora-Bama has rebuilt, repaired and patched up many times after storms like Ivan and Michael. Their multi-level buildings, bars and beach huts can serve thousands of people.
For a facility of this size, they do have food from several locations on the property and you can always go to their website to get on a waitlist, for a more formal section, while you are partying on the beach.

If you go – as you leave Pensacola heading west, there is a turnoff for State Rt. 292 which is Barrancas Ave. Follow that for several miles towards the beach.
The road will turn into Perdido Dr and Flora-Bama is located at 17401 Perdido Key Dr, Pensacola, FL 32507.
You are in beach country. Enjoy the drive and sights along the waterfront and while in Flora-Bama, you can step into Alabama and back to Florida while listening to multiple sounds!
